If your alternator pulley won’t spin, it doesn’t necessarily mean the alternator is bad. You might be surprised how easy it is to clean it up and get everything moving again. Try freeing it with motor oil first it's a lot cheaper and a lot faster than replacing or rebuilding the alternator. Once the inside is freed up again, it will likely last for years.
