We wrap up on stay in Red Lodge, MT and decided to loop down through Wyoming. Discovering great dispersed camping is a learned skill. We show you the Louis Lake & Scenic Loop road areas plus how we found this particular area that we never heard about and what steps we used to research an area and find probable dispersed camping.

Louis Lake Rd is in Sho Shone National Forest and has a few miles of areas for dispersed camping. For us it turned out to be a unicorn that we caught. Shade, Sun, Space and Service and of course Scenic! Trails and forest roads to explore gave the jeep a work out and we drove over the pass and through Sinks Canyon State Park.
