Outdrive gear oil change. Volvo Penta duoprop. DPSD1 outdrive.

For your convenience, below are direct links to Amazon for products used in the video. These are affiliate links which let Amazon know you found the product though my channel. There is no extra cost for you to purchase though affiliate links, but it is appreciated as I may earn from an eligible purchase.

Volvo Penta 1141679 Gear Oil options. I suggest adding all listed to your cart and keeping the best option based on price and availability:
https://amzn.to/4cBaD5J (qty 3) or
https://amzn.to/4ayW9S2 (qty 3) or
https://amzn.to/3VBfnCo (this is a 3 pack)
https://amzn.to/49o9Oue (gallon size (1141860) buy bulk and save overall $$ for future changes!)
Verify your specific drive capacity, but the drive in this video takes 2.6 quarts.

3/8 16 UNC pump: https://amzn.to/49fUBLW

Prop shaft grease (828250): https://amzn.to/3IXAMyk
A less expensive, highly rated grease is here: https://amzn.to/43Ocbp6

Prop Tool (3862797): https://amzn.to/3vvJlx4 (if your drive is not a DPSD1 drive, you will need to determine the correct prop tool as they are not all the same)

Drain and vent plug Oring, 3 pack (3855081): https://amzn.to/3TTrzxd

Dipstick Oring (3852045, may not need, see 6:50 mark of video): https://amzn.to/3TT1Wwm

If you do need both Oring types, here is a link to an item that contains both types (two 3855081 and one 3852045): https://amzn.to/49pTV6C

30mm socket if your set does not have this size: https://amzn.to/3TGza0R

The nut for the front prop also has a black nylon lock ring in it which is a 'wear' item, so over time you will need to replace the nut. I would suggest having one on hand for when needed. You will need to confirm this is the correct part for your drive (if not a DPS drive): https://amzn.to/3U48Nlw

A few options for an oil drain pan if you need one. Remember your drive needs to be fully down when doing this, so you may need a pan that allows the out drive's skeg to drop into it.

Grab some nitrile gloves and shop towels while you are at it! They are good for 1,001 uses!!:
Gloves: https://amzn.to/3VGiRnh (Large) or https://amzn.to/3xpk9c4 (XLarge)
Towels https://amzn.to/3J2VWeg

A note on the links above I do try to find the best price on Amazon for my viewers (and myself….). If you do find a better Amazon price, shoot me a comment in the video and I will update the link to include the option for other DIY‘ers to consider. As I do know suppliers of commodity products can change prices often.

Lastly, please subscribe so you can easily find my channel to return / review the next time you need to change your outdrive oil.

Thanks for watching!
