Here’s a short video on how to carb swap a 8894 Chevy TBI truck. This video is more geared toward those with the 4L60E. I went through hell trying to get the transmission to act right and there was no info on how to fix it until now. Crewyou07 did a good job on explaining the basics of the carb swap. TCI EZ TCU transmission controller tells the 4L60E what to do
4L60E built by Evan’s Transmissions with Corvette servos, TransGo shift kit, 1800 stall 4x4 torque converter, hardened sunshell and dual sprag.
Finally 15x10.5 Eagle Alloy 028’s on 275/60/15 BFGoodrich Radial T/A’s
Motor dyno’d 248 hp and 338 ft/lbs of torque at the wheels which means 300 hp at the crank, 410 ft/lbs torque. Not bad for a junkyard motor
