In this video I discuss my path towards becoming an exotic animal veterinarian. The road to becoming an exotic vet is hard and requires many years of experience, but it's definitely one worth pursuing. There are many aspects of veterinary school that will determine acceptance into exotic animal residencies such as grades, research, clinical skills, leadership, and connections, which I'll explain my thoughts on. I will also discuss what I've done to prepare myself for the different kinds of residency programs.
