1972 was the bloodiest year of the Troubles. But as the violence reached the new heights, all sides in the conflict were beginning to change. By the mid1980s the British Government would try to step away, the Provisional IRA would enter politics and Loyalist paramilitaries would begin to rise.

In our last episode we explored the origins of the conflict. Now, we explore the deadliest decade of the Troubles and the events that would change the conflict entirely.
