Every year the Doximity physician compensation report answers the simple question: how much money do doctors make? The issue with this physician survey is that they lump several subspecialties into one big group. For instance, Doximity only shows 'cardiology' salary instead of more accurately explaining that 'cardiology' includes (1) interventional cardiology, (2) electrophysiology, (3) advanced heart failure, and (4) noninvasive cardiology. There are even other subspecialties within cardiology but those are the 'big four'. The same is true within other specialties that contain several subspecialties.
