UPDATE: It seems like some Qatar accounts are able to search for award availability while others are not. I currently have 0 Qatar Avios in my account and it works for me and several of my friends. I am looking into the reason for this. In the meantime if you are not able to search for award availability on Qatar's website, I recommend using British Airways website or the American Air's website to find availability before you transfer your points to British Airways.

The overall process is to:
1. Find availability on Qatar's website
2. Transfer Chase, Amex or Capital One Miles to British Airways Avios
3. Covert the British Airways Avios to Qatar Avios
4. Complete the booking on Qatar's website
