Do you know how you can get Canada PR in 1 year through BC PNP? In this video, we will discuss the different streams under BC Provincial Nomination Program, the eligibility requirements and application process of both skills immigration and Express entry British Columbia (EEBC) pathway.

Before starting, there are two major pathways under BC PNP through which you can apply for PR i.e., Skills Immigration and Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC). To apply through Skills immigration, you must be eligible in one of the 5 streams in BC PNP whereas to apply under Express Entry BC, you will need to create a Express entry profile and must also be eligible in one of the express entry streams apart from the BC PNP streams. Other difference include 1418 months of time through Skills immigration compared to 612 months in Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC). Another important difference between these two pathways is that you might not even require a job or work experience to apply for PR through Skills Immigration pathway compared to mandatory work experience through EEBC pathway. Also, people under all NOC Categories (O,A,B,C,D) can apply for PR through Skills Immigration pathway but only NOC (O,A & B) profiles can apply through EEBC (Express Entry British Columbia) pathway.

Lets discuss about the different streams under BC PNP Program and they are as follow:
1. Skilled Worker Stream
2. Health Authority Stream
3. International Graduate Stream
4. International Post Graduate Steam
5. Entry level & Semi Skilled Stream

If we discuss all the streams in detail, you will need to have a NOC (O,A or B) profile job to apply for Skilled Worker Stream. The jobs can range from Professional jobs like Doctor, engineer, lawyer, etc., to technical jobs like Technician roles, Coordinator roles, etc. There is also a BC Tech Pilot program under Skilled worker category to help people from IT background get a faster permanent residency. You will also require to show a minimum of two years of work experience and must have a valid job offer to apply under this category. Apart from these requirement, you will need to show proof of funds and meet the basic language requirements (IELTS general). If we talk about the Health Authority stream, then people working in any NOC Category in the Public health authorities like Fraser Health, Island Health, Vancouver Coastal Health, etc., can directly apply for PR through BC PNP Skills Immigration without registering on BC govt website. If you are working as a Nurse, Physician, Midwife but not in a Public health authority, then also you can apply under this category without registration. The International Graduate stream is for students who have completed their bachelors or an equivalent diploma from a Public University or College in the last three years. These students will need a valid job offer to apply for PR through BC PNP Skills Immigration category. However, bachelors or diploma from Private college or University cannot apply through this pathway. If we talk about the course requirements, then your course must be minimum of 8 months of course work. The NOC codes that are eligible in this stream are NOC A and B, International Postgraduate stream is best for students who are coming to BC, Canada for completing a Masters or PhD course. You do not require any job offer or work experience to apply under this category. There is a list of eligible courses from eligible universities under this stream and they majorly include study in Agriculture, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Food Science, Biomedical, from Universities like UBC, SFU, TRU, etc. For this stream also, you must apply for PR within three years after course completion. If we talk about the Entry Level or Semi Skilled Stream then people form tourism, hospitality or travel industry can apply for PR through this category. You can apply even with NOC C or D profile job under this stream. However, you cannot apply through EEBC pathway as these are NOC C or D profile jobs.

For application process, You will need to first register on the BC govt website for PNP. However, Health Authority Stream and International Post graduate stream do not need to register as they can directly apply for PR. Once the invite is received, you will apply for BC PNP through the BC govt website. It took us 3 months to get our Confirmed Provincial Nominee Letter from BC govt and that letter was valid for 6 months. Then we performed our Police Clearance (PCC) that took another 12 months. In the end, we applied through the IRCC Website for our PR through Nonexpress Entry. The total cost to apply for Canada Permanent Residency was around $3000 ($1500 for BC PNP and $1200 for IRCC Application and $300 for PCC and miscellaneous expenses.
