Whippets usually mature between 1.52 years of age and that's when they officially settle and all mischief and wild behaviors suddenly stop. For some female whippets, their first heat cycle is the beginning of the end of the puppy stage. That's exactly the case for our youngest whippet and I wanted to share with you the changes I observed during and after her first heat cycle.
