4. Removal of Contaminants: In some cases, contaminants such as metal reinforcements, wood, or plastic need to be removed from the crushed concrete. We use magnets and other separation techniques to extract these materials.
5. Further Processing: Depending on the intended use, the recycled concrete aggregate may undergo additional processing. For example, it can be further crushed to create finer grades or undergo a process called "washing" to remove impurities and improve its quality.
6. Mixing with New Concrete: The processed recycled concrete aggregate can be mixed with new concrete materials to produce "recycled concrete." This mixture typically includes a combination of recycled and fresh aggregates, cement, water, and other additives. The resulting recycled concrete can be used for various construction applications, such as road bases, sidewalks, and structural elements.
7. Other Applications: Recycled concrete can also be used for other purposes. For instance, it can be crushed into smaller sizes and used as fill material for landscaping, erosion control, or as a base for new pavements.
