Such bouts are known as impostor syndrome. Maria Serbus, a stress management consult who presented last month at the annual Wisconsin Solo and Small Firm Conference (WSSFC), hhttps://wssfc.org/, said impostor syndrome can actually be a good thing.

“That’s the biggest misconception around it,” Serbus said. “When people experience selfdoubt, they think, ‘Something’s wrong with me, I must not be doing something right,’ when that’s actually a sign that you’re growing, you’re leaping out of your comfort zone.”

Serbus said that mindbody wellness is critical to building selfconfidence.

“You’ve got to do both, both the mind and the body.”
