After spending 20 years working out of New York City basements, Muslim cosmetologist Huda Quhshi finally opened the allwomen salon she always wanted. The Brooklyn salon, called Le’Jemalik, gives religious women who cover their head a safe space to let their hair down. But it has become an empowering place for all women alike.
