Honda hrx217hxa [vh7a00] transmission maintenance. This is a concise demonstration of how to inspect transmission fluid and function of hydrostatic unit. I refilled it with acdelco full synthetic dexron VI. 3/3/20 I replaced with the hydrostatic fluid [Honda 08208HST02 Hydrostatic]. I noticed how strong the trans engage, also fast it is with new honda factory fluid.

When you use motor oil or transmission fluid. The hydrostatic looses maximum performance because those oils are not designed for compression like hydraulic oil is.
