Upper Cliff Dwelling

Elevation Gain: 646 feet
Route: Out and Back
On January, I came back to Tonto National Monument to see the Upper Cliff Dwelling. Unfortunately, they are fully booked for that day. I forgot that I needed to do a reservation for this guided hike. Luckily, they have one more spot open and that is for midApril and I booked it in a heartbeat!
This day was the day when I finally able to see the bigger cliff dwelling in Tonto National Monument. I am thankful that this ruins are preserved and we are still able to see how people from 700 years ago lived their life. I am in awe of how the human progress in so many years and I am curious of how our future civilizations will be like.
After checking out the Upper Cliff Dwelling, I rested to an area where I can see the beautiful Roosevelt Lake. A few minutes later, I got a message from my friend that the night paddling is still on so I decided to join and not miss the opportunity to meet new people! I was super tired after one and a half hour of drive to Salt River but everything felt alive again as soon as I launched the board on the water! It was a beautiful night.
