The Kumano Kodo is a world heritage listed pilgrimage trail on the picturesque Kii Peninsula in Japan.

It is much more than a hike, it's an immersive experience in Japanese history, culture and cuisine.

There are many different route options to choose from, we undertook the Nakahechi Imperial route from Takajiiri Oji to Nachisan.

Our adventure spanned 6 days, including a rest day in Yunomine Onsen the perfect place to recharge the batteries and soak in the local onsens.
