The westcoastbased designer breathes new life into historic architecture.

When Heidi Caillier first set foot in the 1924 Tudor Revival house nestled in the historic enclave of North Tacoma, Washington, it was as though destiny had guided her to the perfect canvas for her design dreams. With a keen eye for creating a classic, familyfriendly atmosphere, Caillier embarked on a journey to infuse this historic gem with pattern, color, and texture, transforming it into an inviting and warm sanctuary tailormade for entertaining. William Morris wallpaper emerged as a pivotal design element, serving as a nod to the home's history and adding a layer of sophistication to the interior.

The Pacific Northwest's climate, particularly the everpresent fog and mist, played an influential role in shaping her style towards a moody, Arts & Crafts aesthetic with modern flourishes. Her design philosophy revolves around the idea that a home should tell a story, with layers of antique furnishings and patina weaving together a rich narrative that unfolds as you move through the rooms. Their Tudor Revival house is more than just a project for Caillier; it is a place that holds tender family memories.
