Hello thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video!

In this video I am going to show you step by step how to remove your old cable and replace it with a brand new 1/4" 25 foot cable and yes this machine will take a 25 foot cable no problem Ive already used mine multiple times now after changing the cable and it works like a charm. I break down step by step how to take the snake apart and remove the old cable then I go in depth explaining step by step how to install the brand new cable into your Bauer 23 Ft. AutoFeed Handheld Electric Drain Cleaner.

I will also explain why I feel the Bauer is potentially the best Prosumer snake on the current market vs the Milwaukee 12v and Milwaukee 18v Fuel Drain cleaners and I personally love Milwaukee tools I was recently converted and now im basically a fanboy but I would still consider the Bauer a better machine when it comes to price vs performance and thats basically how I judge all of my tools.

The Bauer is currently only $89.99 and the Milwaukee 12v is $250 which is reasonable and a much better drain cleaner than say the Rigid K30 at basically the same price point my dad uses the Milwaukee and he absolutely loves it when he first got it he called me to tell me he found his new favorite top snake which was funny because I had just bought the Bauer so we did some comparisons and I will say for a cordless drain cleaner the Milwaukee appears to be the absolute gold standard best on the market but when comparing it to the Bauer corded drain cleaner I found it to come in a very close second place and one thing I found kindof strange was when I began looking into the Milwaukee cordless drain cleaners I could not find much difference between the 18v Fuel and the 12v So my advice would be to go with the 12v if you already have mostly 12v Milwaukee tools Its over $100 less and appears to be just as powerful as the 18v Fuel when it comes to comparing the specs but and both the 12v and 18v Fuel are better than the Rigid corded k30 machine. So if you were even considering the rigid because I know rigid has a good reputation as the Plumbers power tool I would kindly stear you towards the Milwaukee 12v and if you dont currently have any Milwaukee 12v tools I recently bought the 12v Fuel impact and hammer drill combo and Man ive never been so impressed with a Powertool they are so well made they feel great in the hand and they seem so powerful for a 12v tool it just blew my mind but hey thats for another video lets stick to drain cleaners today!

Now im not gonna jerk your chain the Bauer is an absolute beast of a machine its awesome in every way as far as a top snake goes and its actually prolonged my decision to buy the Spartan 81 machine which has always been my dream for a 1/4" drain cleaner But is it a professional grade tool for guys doing drains and nothing but drains? probably not but let me elaborate Ive owned the Spartan Drill style top snake And it was a great little machine Its considered a Professional grade top snake and is Built to last years upon years but I would choose the Bauer over it any day of the week and the Bauer is like a quarter of the cost and that brings me to my point on this channel I strive to give you the best most honest information I can as a plumber in the field every day using these tools for years on end Ive gotten to know many of these tools and tool manufacturers inside and out and I will tell you Yes the Spartan drill snake along with many of the other Professional grade drain cleaning companies drill snakes are built much much more sturdy than the Bauer I mean I would be surprised if the Bauer really lasted me a couple years before It started having problems and needed to be replaced I could be wrong but only time will tell however when it needs to be replaced its going to cost no more than its current price point of $89.99 so in 4 years this isnt even considering I buy whatever protection plan Harbor Freight offers but in a worst case scenario If i have to replace it in 2 years that means Ill have still spent less than the 12v Milwaukee. So my point being if you are learning the trade coming up just finished your apprenticeship or are currently and apprentice or even some Journeymen plumbers this is the perfect snake for you because its disposable if it breaks on you its not gonna take a chunk of your paycheck to replace it you dont have to send it away to have it repaired you simply walk into your local Harbor Freight tools grab a box off the shelf and are back in business that very same day. I feel like that alone holds great value because my time is valuable!

If you liked the video and want to leave me a tip or donate to the channel every dime I receive will be put back into the production of this channel so if you want to see more videos and better production quality this is one way to contribute to making that happen
