Setting off on the 1,200km (750mi) Great Divide Trail thru hike! Starting at the US/CAN border and continuing north far into the rocky mountains of Canada. This is the gear I will be bringing on that trip. I expect temperatures into the 20s fahrenheit, lots of potential for rain, mosquitoes, long long food caries upwards of 8 days at a time, and grizzly bears! among other challenges.

I will be hiking this trail with my partner Sprocket, so we are sharing some gear. Most notably is that I have a two person quilt, while she has the two person tent. I forgot to mention in the video but we will both have bear spray as well!

We are both super excited to hike the GDT! Hopefully it will be the most amazing trail to ever exist, as in many cases that is how people who have done it before talk about it! So here goes, our adventure across the Canadian Rockies. Through Waterton Lakes, Banff, Kootenay, and Jasper. The hardest and most interesting thru hike in Canada.
