Got wood? Load shift on freeway after panic stop recovery This is the second shifted load of wood job I've done this year on the freeway, and this one was much more difficult. Although I had two rotators on scene, our 75ton Big Flipper had an unexpected electrical issue and the boom could not unlock. I know my truck VERY well and knew if push came to shove, I could handle it in Hulk solo which is what I did.

The trick was to park the truck and lift so I'm not directly in the middle, but more up front, and not expect to lift the entire load in the air. That would have been catastrophic. Instead, we got enough lift to where the load could slowly slide on the trailer. The plan worked great and the load shift was corrected in minutes.
