On the roof of the building across from our place, a pair of canada geese decided to start a family.

The thing is, geese lead their young to grass and water as soon as they're hatched. That's hard to do when you're on the roof of a 16storey building and the ledges are too high for the goslings to climb to attempt a 'float' down to the ground.

With perhaps a day left to survive without food or water, exposed to the elements, we let the building residents know about the drama unfolding on their roof.

That day, the caretakers rescued the geese and we helped get them safely to Stanley Park some seven blocks away.
