Hello again, thank you for choosing to watch this video which shows you how to make your own background. I have posted other videos showing different techniques to make your own backgrounds so I will link those in below. This is the type of background that I used to make my butterfly in the preceding video. I started by choosing three lovely colours from my Distress Oxide inks and used a blending brush to apply them to my cardstock use any card as a backdrop, whatever you have lying around I have used the back of packaging such as a tbag box! I didn't blend my colours as I like the effect I got from just putting ink on card. I then stamped using my Grungy splatter stamp a great favourite with some Hickory smoke and a little text or script in black. Then it was straight to stamping with my Versamark before gold embossing. This really is that simple and is fantastic as a card backdrop or for cutting out dies from, it is also a terrific way to practice your gold embossing technique if you are not very confident or are just beginning with gold embossing give it a go!
