The overall size of our camper riding on an F350 4X4 surprises many. Building camper to be strong yet light was a key design goal. Much of our inside shelving, holders, brackets, is not wood like many campers but sheet metal. And many of the outside surfaces are also covered in sheet metal. Our gray tank, fuel input, side / body armor, and the bag boxes are all fabricated or covered in aluminum sheeting. Aluminum fabrication is lighter and cheaper than building out with wood.

Working with sheet metal it's not difficult and if you do wood work, you most likely have the tools on hand. From the shop, Steve takes you through his process, the tools, and all you need to know to start working with sheet metal and fabricate light weight parts for any DIY truck, RV, adventure rig, overlanding vehicle.
