Gigatitan - The Titanopteran Terror

Follow
Henry the PaleoGuy

Massive insects are most well known from the Carboniferous period, with increased oxygen levels and lack of niches being a key to this, although some did live later on than many would think, as was the case in the Triassic period. Gigatitan was the prime example of these late surviving giant insects, and while looking like Mantises, were actually most closely to Crickets and Grasshopper. I hope you enjoy.
