Castoroides - Beavers the Size of Bears

Follow
Henry the PaleoGuy

Beavers are already the secondlargest living rodents after Capybaras, although some genera got even larger than them, with one such example being the genus known as Castoroides. These animals lived in North America during the Late Pliocene through to the Pleistocene epoch, being not just the largest known beavers currently known of, but the largest rodents known to have lived on the North American continent. I hope you enjoy.
