This week on Get To Know Them, I chatted with Your Friendly Neighbourhood Hot Dog Guy, James Stewart.

When you think about an entrepreneur, you might not consider the warm and welcoming face that greets you at the Hot Dog Truck, the guy who knows exactly what you're going to order, including all your favourite condiments and toppings.

James Stewart has 25 years of grit and determination behind him. It's one thing to make a perfect hot dog but quite another to manage the customer demand, the elements (and by elements I mean, rain, sun, wind, and snow),
the set up, the tear down, the food storage, and keeping your work area clean and sanitary.

Many of you who are local love your visits with James in his beautiful silver food truck. It has a permanent spot in front of the Canadian Tire at Guelph Line and Fairview. That's not how it started for James, he's made a lot of sacrifice to get to where he is today, he took a chance on following a path that was never planned.

Today, his customers mean the world to him. James is so grateful that he gets to spend his day making connections with interesting people and listen to their personal stories.

In this interview James shares some really great experiences about the job and his encounters with people who have changed his world.

This is an inspiring story about trusting the process of where life can take you when you least expect it.
