One hindrance to collecting, repairing, and scratchbuilding vintage tube amplifiers is the cost of components. Fortunately, the general public is not aware of this fact. As a result, great bargains are still available at garage sales, estate sales, and on Craigslist. In this video, I review three very nice vintage tube amplifiers that were recently purchased locally at very reasonable prices. They are ideal for restoration, modification (to guitar use), or disassembly for components. If this doesn't get you to start attending these sales, nothing will :)
