Various experiments related to fluorescence. Some substances when radiated the give off a radiation of different wavelenght to the first, generally longer. This phenomenon is known as fluorescence.
We will check several substances like tonic water, that contains quinine; fluorescein, fluorescent markers, a detergent tablet, a sweet, a safety reflective vest, a balloon, crayon, several labels and uranium glass marbels also known as vaseline glass.
We will use as a source of radiation an ultraviolet light like a blacklight tube or an ultraviolet LED flashlight.
