Patient around 40 years old, with generalized onychomycosis in all nails, who expressly asks me to preserve (as much as possible) the length of the nails of both hallux.
I perform a thorough podological cleaning procedure, preserving the length, to decompress the nails and relieve the discomfort caused by their thickening.
Subsequently, the patient continues with the corresponding pharmacological medical treatment, indicated by a specialist doctor.

Regarding the use of anesthesia, which is something that I am asked very often...
In Argentina, podologists are prohibited from using injectable anesthesia in procedures. This is why I do not use anesthesia and I try to be extremely careful during the procedure so as not to cause pain. They are not painful procedures.
