Filmed at the Great Central Railway is a recreation of the heavy steamhauled freight trains of the 1950s. A class 9F locomotive is put to the test as it hauls a long southbound train of over 30 superbly restored wagons on the doubletrack railway through the beautiful scenery of the Charnwood Forest area of Leicestershire. The train is described as being "fully fitted" as all the wagons are equipped with brakes controlled from the locomotive meaning that the train can run at higher speeds than freight trains which were not so fitted.
British Transport Films produced a film entitled "Fully Fitted Freight" in 1957 which is the inspiration for the title of this 2021 film.
