In this video, we dive into what makes a locomotive move. Namely, the huge electric motors that turn the wheels. We'll go over the parts that make one up and a bit about how to assemble them, as well as what needs to checked to ensure they function properly.
We'll also talk about a bit of component theory and what makes a traction motor work as well as what transition is. And to close out, I have a couple pictures of some catastrophic failures I think you guys will enjoy.
