Just wanted to show you how I fixed my broken thermostat. You can buy a universal thermostat to replace your broken one. In my case there was only one available through amazon. The delivery was going to take 4 6 weeks and I needed this freezer fixed right away. Hope you find this video helpful. Please subscribe to my channel.
This is an update for you guys 2 weeks following the fix:
We made the thermostat work but I find that the compressor is constantly running without a break. This could cause a problem in the long run.. I would recommend that you get a replacement thermostat and use this as a temporary measure. What we have done in this video was to bypass the functionality of a thermostat.
I figured this out as I was adjusting the temperature control knob but it didn't make any difference with the temperature as I turned the knob up or down..

I would still recommend that you replace your thermostat and use these instructions as a temporary measure until you get a new one. I will post the website address where I got the thermostat for so cheap in the next couple of days.
