Freediving the East Tangat Gunboat wreck near Coron, Philippines. The wreck was a Japanese Submarine hunter from WW2, 40m in length, with the bow at around 3m and the stern at 18m. The ships name was originally Terukaze, and was most likely scuttled by the crew after the bombing by the Americans.

The wreck is a 45 to and hour boat ride from Coron Town, located on the East side of Tangat island, and is good for snorkelling, freediving and scuba diving.

There is an easy penetration through the main bridge area down to a depth of around 15m. The wreck is teaming with life and is well worth a visit. It is a known site to spot the Mandarin The visibility of the wreck ranges from 5 to 15m
