To develop the best method for framing my homemade truck camper, I consulted with cabinet builders and contractors in the design phase and narrowed in on a few critical secrets to making the camper lightweight, super strong, and water tight, without spending a lot of money. In the end, I was able to build this homemade camper for under $1000. It's lighter than most fiberglass frames, has more space inside, and it's better looking, too!
