Whenever you are working on a classic car you just have to accept the fact there's probably been someone else working on it first. Invariably that also means at least one of those someones has come up with some, creative solutions to past issue and this classic chevy truck is no exception!

Prior to this truck coming to us a previous "mechanic" had done a front clip swap with a 2nd gen camaro, replacing the good 1953 frame end with some we'll call it "questionable" subframe. Now, while technically yes this IS possible the actual execution of this surgery wasn't performed quite as well as it could be. Hence, why this Code 504 frame swap is a must!

Now, separating this gorgeous cab and bed from the frame is an additional challenge as you'll see. Restorations can come in all shapes and forms, unfortunately for us there are a number of extra headaches baked into this one for us to overcome. But, that's what we're here for!

This project is a little beyond the level we typically would take on, the amount of time and energy involved in a swap of this magnitude isn't something a typical working shop would tackle however these customers really needed a fix so they could enjoy their muscle car (muscle truck) so we stepped up and agreed.
