Step by step guide on how I made miter joints for wood boxes. I outline every step necessary for getting perfect miter joints for your next project. These steps come from making hundreds of wooden boxes and trying difficult techniques to get the perfect miter joint. After a lot of trial and error, I settled in on this process to setting up my table saw and get the miter joints that I want. I’ve used this same process to cutting miter joints for picture frames too. Instead of setting the table blade at 45 degrees, I set the miter gauge at 45 degrees.
