We took our two dogs on their very first backpacking trip to South Willow Lake in the West Desert of Utah. This is a beautiful area in the Stansbury Mountains that doesn't really look like it would be in the middle of the desert. Lush green landscapes and tons of water for the dogs made for a perfect first trip.
