Professor Julian Birkinshaw gave the Finn Øien Lecture 2013 (#FOL2013) at BI Norwegian Business School on June 7th.

The topic for the lecture was: "Reinventing Management: How to Make your Company Fit for the Future".

The Finn Øien lecture is an annual event at BI Norwegian Business School, established in 2012. We invite an exclusive group of Norwegian leaders in business, politics and public services to be inspired and share the thoughts of one of the worlds leading business thinkers.

Julian Birkinshaw is Professor and Chair of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the London Business School.

Professor Birkinshaw's main area of expertise is in the strategy and organisation of large multinational corporations, and on such specific issues as subsidiaryheadquarters relationships, corporate entrepreneurship, innovation, the changing role of the corporate HQ, organisation design, and knowledge management.

Finn Øien was the founder of BI Norwegian Business School, which he established back in 1943. He was a private entrepreneur who started a process that to day manifests itself in one of Europe's largest business schools.
