The hopes were high for a faithful remake when Blizzard announced Warcraft 3 reforged in 2018. However when it finally came out in January 2020, the final game was less than stellar. Now, with the announcement of a true to the bone remake of cult classic Diablo II with the subtitle "Resurrected", hopes are getting high again. We took the first gameplay trailer, shown at Blizzcon 2021 and compared the scenes to their counterparts in the current version Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction.
