Final test with modified brush shield. Test was with the worst wood I could imagine for dust, namely MDF. The MDF was cut with the blade right at the edge of the board, the worst position that generates the most amount of dust. Test were done both with and without the dust collector the underside dust collector was running with both tests.

Features and Benefits:
• Specifically designed for the DeWalt 745 (DW 745) table saw. Design is well documented and available for easy replication on an alternative DeWalt or other manufacturers compact or benchtype table saw.
• Combines with table saw exhaust dust collection to reduce dust by 95%
• Overarm mechanism pivots out of the way for use with sleds and very narrow rip cuts.
• Locking mechanism on arm prevents and permits rotation with a pin lock.
• Clever dropdown mechanism collects sawdust when rip cutting board edges (not found on SawStop dust collectors or other ‘neartheblade’ collectors).
• Design expands table saw top surface area to facilitate easier cutting of larger sheet goods.
• It is noted that the newer SawStop compact saws have incorporated features found in my design (specifically installing under table flexible enclosures to prevent dust from escaping collection).
