This is a Final Fantasy V Remaster experiment using Final Fantasy V's soundtrack song "Nostalgic" and running it through my Roland XV5050 unit, which is a... not little brother but like... you know how we all have that one cousin who is a bit younger and smaller than us but they're also smarter and more advanced in certain ways? That's what the 5050 to the 5080.

So this is the first practice track I've gotten good enough to showcase publicly. For some time I've been interested in a niche of oldschool style music production where I use an oldschool MIDI rompler to produce oldschool videogame music with, in this case the VERY underappreciated Roland XV5050. I'm aiming to do a lot more tracks and get a lot better at this style of rompler music and, specifically, arranging older videogame tracks with this most excellent Roland device. This track, my best on this ancient style of game music to date, is still not perfect and I've got a long way to go before I really start to get good at learning how to produce music with a single rompler alone it took HOURS just to automate the volumes and get shit to sound smooth and decent (and I still didn't perfectly get it), but hopefully you will enjoy it.

No requests for other game tracks and no requests for downloads, please. This shit is hard to do, at least for now, and it's not as simple as just plugging some MIDI tracks into some new instruments. I hope to do more of these and release some FREE Roland XV arrange albums that will be MASTERED; and THEN I'll make them available for download.
