Filling and aeration underfloor heating manifold 1” stainless steel (FS175)

Filling and aeration of underfloor heating mixing unit Shunt FS175.
Done with a garden hose supplying the water.

The manifold or shunt is made up of a stem for outgoing water with flowindicators and stem for the water returning from the coils.

Unscrew the lids for the fill valves. Let them both just hang for now.

Screw the hose couplings onto the shunt.

Incoming water goes in the upper pipe.
The returning water, where the water exits the system, goes in the lower pipe.

Once you’ve turned on the water, screw the lids in on the fill valves, which allows the water to circulate.

Open the lid for one coil at a time from either side. Let the water run for about five minutes / coil. Repeat until the whole system is filled.

Make sure the flowindicators aren’t closed.

Turn off the water in. Unscrew the lid on the upper fill valve to turn off.
Then do the same on the lower one.

Remove the hoses as well as the hose couplings and then screw on the lids.

Flowadjustments are made when the system is online and running. The calculations as well as how it’s done is included in your order of Flooré underfloor heating.
