Text message phishing scams are on the rise (thanks, AI), and we want to teach you how to fight back. If you've recently been bombarded by these text messages, then you're in the RIGHT place!

Apple has this fab feature hidden deep inside your Mac, iPhone, and iPad that syncs via iCloud called text replacement. ✨ Ever used it? If not, boy, are you in for a treat! We'll dive right into it and set up an automatic reply that’ll have scammers scratching their heads. And trust me, it’s as easy as pie!

Step 1: Create A Text Replacement With This Text:
Sorry, but this number is not saved into my contacts. I have been the victim of phishing scams recently, and for security reasons I need you to provide me with your FULL NAME. This is not a joke. Thank you.

Now, you're thinking, "Alright, alright, but what if it IS someone I know? ‍♀" Fear not, because I’ve got a tip for that too! Once you set up your nifty text replacement, if they dodge your security question with some cheeky reply like “Don't you remember me?”, you can either call out their scam or decide it's time to cut ties with that "friend".

DETERMINE IT'S A SCAMMER?
Here's the most fun part: Let's play a little game with these scammers! I found out, through LOTS of trial and error (because Apple likes to keep secrets ), that there's a character limit to a text replacement.
