This is one of my favorite true spiders. I love their temperament and beautiful velvety abdomen. The purpose of this video is to show how docile and harmless this spider is as it moves around my hand. Contrary to popular belief, spider bites are quite rare and typically occur when they're trapped against the skin. So, most bites are believed to occur when trapped in clothes, shoes, or in bed. In other cases, bites occur when grabbed (whether intentional or accidental). Of all the known spiders on the planet, more than 90% aren't even capable of biting human skin.
