Our division of student affairs and assessment office partnered to enhance the assessment capacity of student affairs educators. The goal: to develop sustainable assessment plans that provide information about student learning. We will discuss how this partnership was implemented via direct consultation, structured educational activities (synchronous and asynchronous, inperson and online, small doses and large doses), and the sharing of relevant scholarly work. This crossdisciplinary collaboration was mutually beneficial because it elevated the status of assessment practice. In addition to providing different educational resources, we will share realistic expectations for this partnership and how it is impacted by institutional
culture.
