A quick overview of the design for my Entwined Mobius Gears so far. This will be version 19.10 overall, but the gears are from a previous version as I've not built the latest. Recent upgrades have focused on the base.

This also uses the first ever PCB I've designed.

Several features to note: Near Silent running, Custom PCB to fit components, USB C fast charging, ORings as feet, Magnetic tool holder, Captive bolt for cover, Works upside down, Almost zero backlash in the entire system, Very compacted design.

The odd number of gears go around twice while twisting 180 degrees and joining onto itself, hence mobius loop. Without a twist, an odd number of gears can't loop and still work. Going around twice allows it to be more compact, but isn't strictly required.

Designed in Solidworks, printed on a CR10S and Artillery Genius in PLA. The inner section on his was SLS Nylon print. It uses 285 ball bearings put in one by one.
