Encounter between a scorpion and a scolopendra

·The scolopendra is a very territorial poisonous insect that uses its strength and speed, but its best weapon is its poison, one of the most powerful that can be found. Within its usual menu are other small insects up to a size larger than itself, and even frogs, field mice and some lizards. Sometimes it attacks its prey as if it were a snake, wrapping the victim around its body so that it does not escape and thus injecting it with venom.

· The coloration of the Buthus occitanus scorpion is yellowish, darker on the back and lighter on the rest of the body. During the day it usually stays under stones in the warmest places and goes out to hunt at night, injecting its prey with poison with its stinger.
