Beshbarmaq mountain or Bash Barmek mountain Beshbarmaq is considered the beginning of historical Sheshpara territory, which was called KhorsKhurs Rock and was referred to as Khorsvem in the Caucasian Albania period in the early Middle Ages. A piece of rock consisting of carbonatebearing brecciated limestones (dolomites) resembles a "desert iceberg" and rises at 95 km of the BakuSiyazan highway. Mount Beshbarmag is 445 m above sea level.

As one of the initial versions of the formation of the mountain, the compression of carbonatecontaining rocks under the influence of tectonic movements and the resulting appearance of such a landscape is indicated. It is possible to find a large number of karsttype cavities and nests on the rock.

When looking at the rock from the east and west, it resembles the fingers of a human hand, and probably that is why this rock was named Five Fingers.

On June 8, 2020, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed the Decree on the establishment of the Beshbarmag Mountain State Historical, Cultural and Nature Reserve
