This time on SPPTV we do something a bunch of you have asked for, we make an LS ECM / ECU Bench Harness! With this simple to make harness you can tune GM Engine Computers outside of a vehicle, which is useful in a lot of different situations. Follow along, we tried to include as much info as possible.

With a harness like this you still obviously need a way to interface with the OBD2 port to tune the ecm. We use HP Tuners and recommend it, but their are lots of alternatives such as EFI Live. Even if you plan on running a stock LS engine, you still need to tune out the VATS in order to run the engine once its in your project vehicle!
