I'm making family friendly meals with one of my favorite budget friendly ingredients! A bag of frozen tortellini is still around $3 at most of my grocery stores, and it can be turned into so many different recipes!

Sausage Tortellini:
1/2lb ground Italian Sausage, browned
1/2 onion, diced
minced garlic
1 can tomatoes
1 19oz bag frozen tortellini
1tsp Italian seasoning
pinch red pepper flake
1/2C water
3/4C half & half
1C shredded cheese of choice
salt & pepper to taste

Taco Tortellini:
1 19oz bag frozen tortellini
1lb ground beef
2 cans diced tomatoes w/green chilis
1packet taco seasoning
1C beef broth
Brown beef, then put in crockpot with all ingredients EXCEPT tortellini. Cook on low 34 hours, then add frozen tortellini and cook for an additional 30 minutes or until tortellini is cooked. To make on the stove: brown beef, then simmer all ingredients (except tortellini) together on low for 20 minutes. Add tortellini and simmer 510 minutes until tortellini is cooked.
